Since 2013 RCS has been a Food Stamp Electronic Submission Site whereas individuals throughout various communities can apply for food stamps and other essential benefits. Reaching-Out Community Services will continue to promote self-sufficiency to low-income individuals and families who are facing hardship as well as offering a place of hope in their time of need.

Our work with 800+ soup kitchens, food pantries, and campus partners provides immediate and reliable access to food and nutrition education, while our economic empowerment programs give people the tools and know-how to improve their financial wellness. Driven by our mission to empower every New Yorker to achieve food security for good, we harness the collective power of our network of food providers, partners, and volunteers to activate the right resources, supports, and expertise across the five boroughs. On any given day, the Soup Kitchen receives hundreds of pounds of donated food that needs to be used immediately. Planning a weekly menu of 5,000+ meals when you’re not sure what food will be donated requires more than just creativity. That’s why Holy Apostles partners with culinary figures from across the City to not only source food donations, but to support all aspects of our mission.

We provide food and social services five days a week, serving over 10,000 New Yorkers annually. But we’re focused on eliminating the need for emergency relief programs altogether. With your help, we will achieve this goal.

Our Community Kitchen has served the Harlem community since 1984. We provide more than 100,000 free meals each month through our soup kitchen, food pantry and senior program. Our team includes professional chefs, community nutritionists, program administrators and caring volunteers ensuring healthy meals, comprehensive services and accessibly care for families and individuals needing it most.

Neighbors across New York City rely on City Harvest to help fill their plates with fresh, nutritious food. This year, we will rescue more than 81 million pounds of food and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries and soup kitchens across the five boroughs to help feed New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity.

New York Common Pantry works toward the reduction of hunger and food insecurity through an array of programs that function to establish long-term independence for those we serve. Our whole-person approach starts with food provision through the distribution of nutritious, fresh food pantry packages in Choice Pantry and hearty balanced breakfast and dinner in the Hot Meals program. Supplemental food is provided to seniors aged 60 and older through Nourish.

St. John’s Bread and Life’s mission is to respect the dignity and rights of all persons by ensuring access to healthy, nutritious food and comprehensive human services resulting in self-sufficiency and stability.

West Side Campaign Against Hunger’s (WSCAH) mission is to alleviate hunger by ensuring that all New Yorkers have access with dignity to a choice of healthy food and supportive services.
